What you get
A free health check, every year, for every device. Our 38 point check catches the small stuff, a dodgy driver, an out of date antivirus, a drive on its way out, before it turns into an expensive drama. Prevention's a lot cheaper than a cure.
Half price call outs. Need us to come to you? Members pay half the usual call out fee for a home visit.
A free loaner laptop. If your repair's going to take a while, we'll lend you one so you're not stuck without a machine.
5% off workshop repairs, parts and labour included. Not just the labour, the whole job.
Discounted remote repairs. Why leave your home? Call and we'll help (working internet required).
First dibs on member only deals. A few times a year we offer things like printers, scanners and cameras at cost price. Members get first access.

Why we started this
Much like cars, computers need regular maintenance to ensure they both run well and don't have their operating life cut short. Prevention is cheaper than cure. We wanted to find a way to encourage people to get regular maintenance as it saves so much computer heartache. Back in 2012 we ran a simple membership: pay a fee, get a free checkup on one computer. It did the job, but most homes these days have a handful of devices between them, laptops, phones, tablets, not just the one desktop in the corner, and we wanted to add free loaners and the other discounts.
So we changed it. Total Home Membership now covers everything in the house, not just a single machine, not just a one-off check, plus a few extra perks along the way. Same idea we started with back in 2012: catching problems early beats paying for a big repair later.
The fine print
We like to keep things simple, but here's what you're agreeing to:
- Membership covers every computer, phone and tablet at one address, up to 5 devices. Got more than that, or running a server? Our Acceleration IT Service is a better fit, give us a call and we'll point you the right way.
- Membership stays with the address, not the person. Moving house? Just let us know your new address and we'll shift your cover over.
- We'll be in touch every 12 months for your checkup. We'll call twice, and if we can't reach you we'll text or email instead. After that it's over to you, bring your gear in or book a home visit within a month of our call. Keep your contact details up to date so we don't lose you.
- We prefer payment by Stripe for the annual payment, kept secure and private. Let us know if your card details change.
- Miss a payment and your membership pauses until it's sorted, then picks back up from your original renewal date.
- Find something else wrong during a checkup? We'll always check with you before doing any extra work or charging you for it.
- More than 100km outside Christchurch and want your checkup done onsite? You'll pay the country travel fee, with 50% off the Christchurch portion.
- Benefits may change from time to time, and we can decline or cancel a membership that breaches these terms.
